I’m endlessly curious about the weird stories hiding behind the things we eat. Why do we eat what we eat? Who invented it? How did it get here? And, somehow, why does there so often seem to be a crime involved?

True Crime Culinary started as a way to follow those rabbit holes. Each episode explores the strange intersection of food, history, and crime—from artichoke rackets and candy smugglers to the accidents, rivalries, and wonderfully odd people behind everyday foods.

The goal is simple: come for the crime, leave knowing a little more about what we eat.
